RS485 input from the ILAM
The left-side input connector brings the upstream RS485 bus onto the isolator board before it is split into protected reader branches.
RS485 bus protection for real-world field wiring
This board has been designed to mount over the Inner Range Integriti ILAM and split the reader bus into four individually fused outputs. Each output is isolated from the others, helping contain faults, reduce noise transfer, and simplify support work on OSDP reader installations.
The left-side input connector brings the upstream RS485 bus onto the isolator board before it is split into protected reader branches.
The upper section handles the isolation and power conversion needed to keep the downstream reader ports electrically separated from the input side.
The bottom row provides four separate downstream ports, each isolated from the others so one branch fault stays local instead of spreading across the bus.
Each output channel includes its own fuse protection along with fault, activity, and termination points to make commissioning and fault finding faster.
Shield and earth connections are clearly marked to support cleaner reader cabling practice and more controlled integration in noisy cabinets.
Board highlights
The board has been designed specifically to sit over an Inner Range Integriti ILAM and isolate OSDP reader connections in a compact cabinet footprint.
A single RS485 input is split into four downstream ports, with each output isolated from the others for cleaner branch separation.
Each output has its own fuse protection, giving a clearer fault boundary and helping protect the rest of the installation when a single branch develops a problem.
Dedicated fault and activity indicators on each output give immediate visual feedback during install, testing, and service work.
On-board termination links simplify reader line setup and reduce the need for ad hoc changes elsewhere in the enclosure.
Clearly labelled shield and earth handling supports cleaner cabinet integration in electrically noisy environments.
Why use it
In OSDP installations, a single reader run or field device issue can consume service time quickly. Separating readers onto isolated, individually fused outputs creates a cleaner failure boundary and makes diagnostics much more direct.
A wiring or device issue on one port is less likely to affect every reader on the ILAM.
Individual output fusing gives better protection and clearer fault isolation during service work.
Isolation helps keep electrically messy reader runs from polluting the rest of the bus.
Fault and activity LEDs cut the time spent tracing reader branch behaviour manually.
Integriti cabinet fit
Rather than acting like a generic RS485 accessory, this isolator was designed around a specific installation target. Designed to mount over the ILAM, it keeps the solution compact and gives four isolated reader outputs in a layout that is easier to manage in the cabinet.
Uses the available cabinet footprint more efficiently by stacking directly with the ILAM.
Gives four separate isolated outputs for OSDP readers instead of one shared reader bus.
Clear input and output grouping, fusing, and status indication help technicians identify the right branch quickly.
At a glance
This product is aimed at ILAM-based OSDP systems where reliability and maintainability matter more than simply running every reader on one shared, difficult-to-diagnose bus.
